Secondary Focus: US schools survey
International students at US secondary schools increased during the most recent academic year, with Asian and Latin American students making up the majority of the nationalities. Chinese students were the top nationality followed by Mexican.

- 26 schools took part in our survey of US secondary schools.
- The total number of international students at all the schools was 9,727.
- International student numbers increased by 30 per cent between 2020/21 and 2021/22.
- International student numbers ranged from six to 8,200 at individual schools.
- Average commission rates for tuition and boarding fees across 13 schools were 13 per cent.
